FAQ
The things people actually ask, answered properly. If yours is not here, just ask us.
What exactly is a half wig?
A half wig covers the back and sides of your head and leaves the front section of your own hair out. You clip it in behind your natural hairline, then drop your own hair over the front edge to blend it. No glue, no lace, no adhesive of any kind.
It is faster than a full wig and gives far more volume than clip-in wefts. Full walkthrough here.
How long does it take to put on?
Under five minutes once you have done it twice. The first time, give yourself ten.
Will it look obvious?
Not if your pattern matches. Your own hair sits over the front, so what people see at the hairline is you. The single biggest factor is picking the right curl pattern — that is why the finder is the first thing on this site.
Can I sleep in it, swim in it, or work out in it?
Take it off to sleep — friction against a pillow wrecks a curl pattern faster than anything else. Light workouts are fine. Chlorine and salt water are not; if it is going anywhere near a pool, it should be off.
How do I pick between the five curl patterns?
Match it to what your own hair does when it air-dries — that is what the leave-out at the front has to blend with. The 30-second finder asks three questions and gives you an answer.
Straight and Body Wave suit looser natural textures. Loose Curl and Deep Curl sit in the middle. Kinky Coil is true 4C and blends with tightly coiled natural hair.
How do the lengths measure up?
Lengths are the straightened length in centimetres, measured from the top of the cap. 35 cm sits around the collarbone, 45 cm around mid-back, 55 cm below the shoulder blades.
Curlier patterns wear shorter than their measurement — a 45 cm Deep Curl hangs noticeably higher than a 45 cm Straight. That is the pattern doing its job, not a short unit.
Do the colours cost more?
No. One price per length, whatever pattern and colour you choose.
Can I colour or bleach it myself?
Please do not. Home bleaching is the most common way these units get destroyed, and it voids returns. If you want a colour we do not stock, tell us — we would rather hear it than replace a ruined unit.
What does shipping cost?
Free across the EU on orders over 79,00 €. Below that, the exact rate is calculated at checkout from your delivery address before you pay.
How long will it take to arrive?
Germany is typically 2–4 working days after dispatch; the rest of the EU 3–7. You get a tracking link as soon as it leaves.
Full detail on the shipping and returns page.
Can I return it?
Yes. You have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under German and EU law, starting the day the parcel arrives. The unit has to come back unworn, unwashed and with its hygiene seal intact — once a wig has been worn it cannot be resold, so an opened seal ends the right of return.
The formal terms are in the Widerrufsbelehrung.
Do prices include VAT?
Yes. Every price shown includes German VAT at the applicable rate. Shipping is added at checkout and shown before you pay.
Which payment methods can I use?
Checkout runs through Stripe, so the card and wallet options available to you appear on the payment step. We never see or store your card details.
How often should I wash it?
Every 8–10 wears, or when the movement goes. Cool water, sulphate-free shampoo, downward strokes, air-dry flat. Never wring it out.
Can I use heat on it?
Low heat with a protectant, sparingly. Repeated high heat is how a curl pattern is lost permanently, and heat damage is not covered by returns.
How long will one last?
With the care above, comfortably several months of regular wear. Brushing a curl pattern dry, sleeping in it, and high heat are the three things that shorten that.
